EYRES Action Sports Games

Alex Hiam by Reigan Degney

March 16 and 17 will see some of Australia’s best BMX and skateboard professionals go head to head to win their share in $20,000 in prize money. The Mambo skate and BMX park will become the centre of action when BMX riders and skateboarders compete at one of Australia’s largest professional multi action sports competitions. With some of Australia’s and especially the wests best riders heading down, the comp should be a banger. Alex Hiam will be there to drop his brand of big riding along with the likes of Warren Bowers, Dylan Schmidt and I hope for everyones sake, Bone Deths shredder Jay Wilson.

The comp will go down on both the park and the portable ramp coming in for the event. There will also be a competition on the Saturday morning for beginners in BMX land, though I bet the level will be off tap…. Australia’s buggest Action Sports event will also include the Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) World Cup with more than 150 of the world’s waterskiing and wakeboarding stars from 24 countries working their way through the competition to share in the $300,000 prize pool up for grabs. The EYRES Action Sports Games coincides with the annual Crab Fest, adding more vibrancy and excitement to the City of Mandurah. For more info hit up www.actionsportsgames.com.au
